Day 1 ARRIVE QUEENSTOWN
On arrival at Queenstown you will be met & transferred to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.Day 2 MILFORD SOUND EXCURSION (600 kms)
Breakfast at the hotel. An early start following the shores of Lake Wakatipu, and through Te Anau where you will be enthralled by the immense landscape. Travel through beech forest, passing majestic mountains, on through the Homer Tunnel in time to board your catamaran for the Milford Sound cruise. Cruise past Mitre Peak, the highest mountain in the world to rise vertically from the sea, and admire the Stirling and Bowen Waterfalls as you cruise out to sea. Return to the pier for the coach back to Queenstown. Overnight at the hotel.Day 3 QUEENSTOWN
Breakfast at the hotel. This is completely free day for you to pursue your own activities. Queenstown offers jet boating, lake cruised, bungy jumping, rafting, hose riding, gondola rides and may be a visit to the Sky Alpine Casino. Overnight at the hotel.Day 4 QUEENSTOWN
After breakfast day is free for leisure activities. Overnight at hotel.Day 5 QUEENSTOWN – WEST COAST GLACIERS
We depart this morning through the South Westland Heritage Park and across the rugged Haast Pass and Lake Wanaka. Arrive West Coast Glaciers; overnight at the hotel.Day 6 WEST COAST GLACIERS (B)
A full day at leisure to enjoy the magnificent glaciers. Climb on to the slow moving river of ice or take a scenic flight (optional) for a bird’s eye view of this spectacular terrain.Day 7 WEST COAST GLACIERS – GREYMOUTH – CHRISTCHURCH (420 kms) (B)
Travel along the coast to Greymouth to join the Tranz Alpine Express across the Southern Alps to Christchurch (seat-in coach passengers only).Day 8 DAY FREE AT LEISURE
